15741 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,741 2 3 A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF 4 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO PARTICIPATE IN A COST SHARING 5 AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED METHODIST CHILDRENS HOME 6 FOR IMPROVMENTS TO CHARLES BUSSEY AVENUE; AND FOR 7 OTHER PURPOSES 8 9 WHEREAS,the United Methodist Children's Home has implemented plans to improve their facilities 10 located on Charles Bussey Avenue;and, 11 WHEREAS,the improvement project requires constructing Boundary Street Improvements to Charles 12 Bussey Avenue in the area between Fillmore Street and Grant Street; and, 13 WHEREAS, it is desirable for the City to partner with and participate in the cost for improvements to 14 Charles Bussey Avenue. 15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The City will participate in the Charles Bussey Avenue Improvement Project in an amount 18 not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) in accordance with the cost estimate and 19 proposal prepared by United Methodist Children's Home. 20 Section 2. The Mayor or City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to execute 21 all appropriate agreements and payments necessary to expedite the construction of this project. 22 Section 3. Funding for the City share of this project is from the Street Fund Special Projects. 23 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 27 resolution. 28 Section 5. Repealer.
