3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH HASTY AWARDS,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
5 EXCEED SIXTY-THREE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR
6 AND 50/100 DOLLARS ($63,364.50), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND
7 FEES,TO PROVIDE THE 2023 LITTLE ROCK MARATHON FINISHER'S
8 MEDALS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, individuals who finish the Little Rock Marathon are awarded a Finisher's Medal which
11 has become renowned for its unique size and design; and,
12 WHEREAS,the annual Little Rock Marathon will be held on March 4, 2023, - March 5, 2023, with
13 an estimated 10,000 participants; and,
14 WHEREAS, after a competitive bid process pursuant to Bid No. 1723, which generated one (1) bid,
15 Purchasing Staff reviewed the bid pricing and determined that Hasty Awards was an acceptable successful
16 bidder for Sixty-Three Thousand, Three Hundred Sixty-Four and 50/100 Dollars ($63,364.50), plus
17 applicable taxes and fees,to provide the medals.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Hasty Awards to prepare
21 the various Finisher Medals for the 2023 Little Rock Marathon events in an amount not to exceed Sixty
22 Three Thousand,Three Hundred Sixty-Four and 50/100 Dollars($63,364.50).
23 Section 2. Funding for these purchases is available in Little Rock Marathon Special Project Account
24 No.210459-S00B268.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are
31 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
