3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH G & W DIESEL SERVICE, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY-NINE
6 THOUSAND, FORTY DOLLARS ($839,040.00), PLUS APPLICABLE
7 TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) PIERCE TOP
8 MOUNT PUMPER TRUCK FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
9 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

1 1 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department has a need to purchase a Pierce Top Mount Pumper
12 Truck for the City's Fleet; and,
13 WHEREAS, vendor selection for the Pierce Top Mount Pumper Truck meeting the specifications
14 needed,was made through the Houston Galveston Area Council(HGAC)Contract No. FS12-19; and,
15 WHEREAS,the total cost for the contract is not to exceed Eight Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand,Forty
16 Dollars($839,040.00),plus applicable taxes and fees,with funding provided by the American Rescue Plan
17 Act.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with G & W Diesel Service, Inc.,
21 for the purchase of a Pierce Top Mount Pumper Truck in an amount not to exceed Eight Hundred Thirty-
22 Nine Thousand, Forty Dollars($839,040.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the American Rescue Plan (ARPA),Account No.
24 271519-72300-G0601 AR51 B.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
