3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ESCAMILLA EXCAVATING, LLC, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR
6 THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN AND 80/100 DOLLARS
7 ($464,317.80), FOR THE BELLA ROSA DRIVE IMPROVEMENT
8 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for the Bella Rosa Drive Improvement Project, Project No. 05-17-ST-
11 223, Bid No. 1719; and,
12 WHEREAS, Escamilla Excavating, LLC, was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1.The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Escamilla Excavating,
17 LLC,for the Bella Rosa Drive Improvement Project, in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Sixty-Four
18 Thousand, Three Hundred Seventeen and 80/100 Dollars ($464,317.80), which is the base bid amount of
19 Three Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand, Nine Hundred Thirty-One and 50/100 Dollars ($386,931.50), plus
20 20%contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds and the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by
23 Resolution No. 14,803.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
