3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT THE ROSE LAW FIRM AS BOND
4 COUNSEL FOR THE PROPOSED 2006 CAPITAL EQUIPMENT SHORT-
S TERM FINANCING PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, it is necessary to have bond counsel to work with the City to perform
8 legal work related to the short -term financing of capital equipment for 2006; and
9 WHEREAS, the City requested proposals from qualified firms to handle this work;
10 and
11 WHEREAS, the proposals were reviewed by a selection committee designated in
12 accordance with City ordinance; and
13 WHEREAS, the committee has concluded that the Rose Law Firm is the most
14 qualified to handle the legal work, and has the knowledge and experience with similar
15 financings in Arkansas and nationally.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
19 with the Rose Law Firm to act as bond counsel for the 2006 short -term financing project of
20 capital expenditures.
