2 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO WHALEY
3 CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR 27TH ST. (ABIGAIL TO JEFFERSON) &
4 30TH ST. (WASHINGTON TO JEFFERSON) STREET
5 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
6 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the street reconstruction of 27th St. (Abigail
7 to Jefferson) & 30th St. (Washington to Jefferson), Bid No. 05 -292;
8 WHEREAS, Whaley Construction, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible bid, in
9 the amount of $596,029.88 ($541,845.35 plus 10% contingencies).
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
11 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
12 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with
13 Whaley Construction, Inc. for street reconstruction 27th St. (Abigail to Jefferson) & 30th
14 St. (Washington to Jefferson), Bid No. 05 -292.
15 Section 2. 2004 Bond Funds are available for 27th St. (Abigail to Jefferson) in
16 Account No. 314 - 220 -SR03 and for 30th St. (Washington to Jefferson) in 314 - 220 -SR07, in
17 the total amount of $596,029.88 ($541,845.35 plus 10% contingencies).
18 Section 3. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date
19 of its adoption.
