boa_12 17 1956MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE LITTLE ROCK BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT DECEMBER 179 1956 The Little Rock Board of Adjustment met in the Council Chamber, City 1iall, on Dumber 179 1.956 at 2:00 P. M. The following members were present: Miss Emily Penton Mr. Warren Baldwin Mr. W. H. Marak Docket No. 14-56 - Mrs. Pauline Tilghmon, (by Drs. Riegler and Riegler) NW corner of llth and Scott Streets, described as Lot "A" of Riegler and Keith replat of lot 7 and the south 44% of lot 8, Block 11, Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, zoned "E" Apartment District, requesting a variance from the rear yard provisions of Section 18 of that ordinance to permit a rear yard of 15' for the erection of a 601 building thereon. Dr. Riegler was present and explained his request for constructing his office building to within fifteen feet of the rear property line. No objectors were present. In executive session Mr. Marak moved that it be approved, Mr. Baldwin seconded and the motion carried. Docket No. 15-56 - Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas, (by Ginnocchi & Cromwell & Asso.), No. 3, Crestwood Drive, described as lot 4, Edgehill Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, zoned "A" One -family District, requesting a variance from the rear yard provisions of Section 18 of that ordinance to permit construction to present residence. Mr. Ed Cromwell, architect, and Mr. Will Mitchell, attorney, were present and presented their case. They stated that at present there is a small house on the 1651 by 40' lot, which is no longer needed. They plan to tear it down, convert into a small apartment, extending to the east; coming no closer to the property line for proposed addition, white will be three bedrooms and two baths. On the west side a carport will connect walk -ways. Mr. Mitchell stated that his clients did not with to go through with these plans if the neighbors object. There were no objectors present.
