2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
3 INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH DOT /FAA FOR THE
4 INSTALLATION OF FIBER OPTIC CABLE FOR THE DIGITAL
5 RADAR FACILITY, LITTLE ROCK NATIONAL AIRPORT; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES.
7 WHEREAS, the installation of a new digital radar system is desirable to improve
8 air traffic safety and reliability and the installation of buried fiber optic cable is a
9 necessary component of the installation, and,
10 WHEREAS, buried fiber optic cable must be located in land owned by the City
11 and along City right -of -way.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
13 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a
15 lease agreement with Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration
16 for the installation of fiber optic cable for the Digital Airport Radar Facility, Little Rock
17 National Airport.
18 Section 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
19 adoption.
