MINUTES OF THE MEETING
OF THE
BOARD OF ADJUST12NT
The Board of Adjustment met at 2:00 P. M. on June 20; 1955 in the Council
Chamber of the City Hall. The following members were presents

Docket No. 18-55 - A. L.,Enderlin, 1217 Fair Park Boulevard; de-
scribed as Lot Fifteen (15), Block Two (2),
Oak Forest Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, zoned ',F" Commercial District; re-
questing waiver of rear yard space to add 12'
x 30, addition to rear of existing building,
leaving 17' rear yard space instead of the re-
quired 25' on said property.
Miss Penton moved that this be granted, Mr. Allen seconded and the motion
carried.
Docket No. 19-55 - W. E. ;»owrey, 1620 South Harrison Street, de-
scribed. as Lot Six (6), Block One (1), Cherry
and Cox's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, zoned "B" Residence District; re-
questing waiver of side yard space in order to
construct carporte within 2' of street side lot
line on said property.
Miss Penton moved that this be granted, Mr. Allen seconded and the motion
carried.
Docket No. 20-55 - Calvary Baptist Church (John white), 1901 iForth
Pierce Street described as Lots Thirteen (13),
Fourteen (14), Fifteen (15), and Sixteen P
Mountain Park Addition to the city of Little Rock
Afkcan sas, zoned "A" One -Family. District; re-
questing Waiver of yard space and permission to
plade 'two structures on one lot.
Miss Penton moved that this be granted, 14rr Allen seconded and the motion
carried.

one lot.
Several years ago the City Council permitted Mr. rowan to construct a tempo-
rary garage apartment on the rear of this property. This was intended to be re-
moved upon completion of a residence on the front of this property and was grhnted
for temporary purposes only.
Mr. Rowan was present and stated that he wants to close in the lower portion
of the temporary garage apartment to accomodate his family, which has increased
in number, thereby mating it permanent. At some future date as he becomes fi-
nancially able he plans to build a house across the front of the two lots.
There were no objectors present.
In the executive meeting Miss Penton moved that this be granted with the pro-
vision that when the new house is built it is to be placed across the front of
both lots, Mr. Allen seconded and the motion carried.

Docket No. 22-55 - Naph Lehr,-1901 Summit"Street, described'as
the W. 60, of Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3),
and Four (4), Block Seven (7), Moore and Penzel
Addition to the City of Little Hock, Arkansas,
zoned "C" Two -Family District; requesting waiver
of yard spaces in order to construct new duplex
to face Summit Street.
hr. Levy was present and stated that he wi she s to construct a duplex on this
lot to face Summit Street. The lot is 60, wide on 19th Street and 1001 on Summit
Street. To do this he needs a waiver of both front and rear yard spaces.
Mr. Allen moved that this be granted, Miss Penton seconded and the motion
carried.
There was a short discussion on the adoption of a set of rules and reg o.—
lations for the Board of Adjustment. These had been mailed to the members for
study prior to the meeting. There was no record of rules ever having been adopted.
and it was agreed by all present that the suggested rules and regulations presentee
to the Board at this time were satisfactory.
Mr. Allen moved that they be adapted, Miss Penton seconded and the motion
carried.
There was no further business to come before the Board and the meeting ad-
journed.
