3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH J & R ENVIRONMENTAL TRUCK SALES,
5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-THREE
6 THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY DOLLARS ($183.890.00),PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN
8 ASPHALT PATCHING TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS
9 DEPARTMENT STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,the Public Works Department Street Operations Division has a need to purchase one (1)
13 Asphalt Patching Truck to replace an older unit that has caused excessive maintenance costs and down-
14 time;and,
15 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the utilization of the Sourcewell Contract No.
16 052417-PBL; and,
17 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase is One Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand, Eight Hundred
18 Ninety Dollars($183.890.00), plus applicable taxes and fees;
19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with J&R Environmental Truck
22 Sales in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand, Eight Hundred Ninety Dollars
23 ($183,890.00),plus applicable taxes and fees,for the purchase of purchase one(1)Asphalt Patching Truck
24 to be used by the Public Works Department Street Operations Division.
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Department Special Projects,
26 Account No. 205409-72300-S40B646.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
