Since there was not a quorum present, there could be only an informal
discussion of the matter concerning Mrs. Ruth Crews' request for
a variance to permit her to rent a garage apartment at 1522 Louisiana
Street. Mr. Scott Farrell stated that he had talked with her bank to
substantiate the facts contained in her letter regarding certain loans
which the bank had made her.
Mrs. Crews stated that her income from the rental of apartments and
the garage apartment would amount to $240.00 monthly, and her outlay
for monthly expenses for insurance, taxes, general upkeep, etc. would
amount to approximately $250.00, which does not include any living
expenses for herself.
After some discussion, Mr. Farrell suggested that action be deferred
until the next regular meeting on December 16th at which time a new
application would have to be presented for review.
A proposed calendar of meeting dates for 1964 was reviewed and the
suggestion made that the December 21st date be set back one week.
Copies were mailed to all members and the calendar will be adopted
at the regular meeting.
There beingg no further business, the meeting was adjourned until
December 16th, 1963.
