A quorum was found ifto be present and the Chairman caiiea the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as mailed. Item No. 1 Applicant: Location Description: Classification: Variance: Beatrice Golden 616 Kimball Street Lots 9 and 109 Block 289 Garland Addition "C"-Two-Family Requests a variance from the side yard provisions of Section 43-12 Code of Ordinances to permit construction of a bathroom. A motion was made that this application be reopened for consideration as'there was no representative present at the last meeting. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously. Beatrice Golden was present and requested permission to construct the bathroom. After discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Farrell that a plumbing inspector visit the site and make a recommendation as to the logical location for the installation of the bathroom. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lyons and passed unanimously. After an inspection of the property, approval was recommended provided that it be used only as a bathroom and that the total area of the addition not be more than 40 square feet, or 5' X 71. -2- item No. 2 - (Z-1 16) Applicant: The Wilson Company, Inc. Location: Description: 1111 Pulaski Street The West Half (W2) of South Half (Slff) of Lot 2, and West Half (W2) of Lot 3, Block 310, Original City Classification: Zoned "C"-Two-Family Variance: Requests a Variance from the rear yard provisions of Section 43-12 of Code of Ordinances to Permit construction of a residence. A motion was made by Mr. Lyons that the variance be approved. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously. Item_ No. 3 IZ-15-1-9-) Applicant: M. Russell Martin Location: 1600 Block of Lewis Street Description: All of Block 13, Sidney J. Johnson's Addition, and Lot 1, Block 7, Braddock's Addition Classification: "E-1-A" Nursing and Lodging and "B" Residence Variance: Requests Variance from side yard provi- sions of Section 43-12 to permit addi- tion to existing building, and Section 43-12 to permit parking on lot across the street zoned "B" Residence. Mr. Russell Martin was present to represent this application. Mr. Lyons made a motion that this item be approved provided that it meets the requirements of the off-street parking ordinance, and also that it meets the requirements of the Fire Marshall. Mr. Scott Farrell seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. Item No. 4 - (Z-1511) Applicant: Location: Description: Classification: Variance: Nita Slack #11 Monica Drive Lot 48, Broadmoor Addition "A"=One-family Requests a variance from the nonconform- ing uses provisions of Section 43-11 to permit construction of a carport and storage room to a residence with a non -conforming beauty shop Mrs. Slack was present to explain the conditions of her request. Mr. Lyons made a motion that it be approved provided the carport in front is left open, and the beauty shop not be enlarged. The motion was seconded, and carried unanimously. -3- Item No. _5 - (Z-1517) Applicant: Lawrence Witherspoon ]Location: 7616-7618 'IT" Street Description: Lots 11 and 12, Block 39,Bellevue Addition. Classification: "A" -One family Variance: Requests a variance from the front yard provisions of Section 43-12 of Code of Ordinances to permit an addition to an existing structure. There was no representative at the meeting, and a motion was made that no action be taken until a development plan is submitted. Motion was seconded and carried unanimously. CONTINUED MATTERS Item No. 1 - (Z-1497) Applicant: Location: Description: Classification: Variance: Dean 0. Guill 2108 Bragg Street Long Legal "B" Residence Requests a variance from lot area and all applicable provisions of Section 43-12 to permit construction of an addition to side of house. Mrs. Guill was present to represent this request as well as Bob dill. A motion was made that the request for variance be denied because the lot on which the house is located is too small in proportion to the improvements already on the property.
