Action was taken on the following advertised items:
Item No. 1 - Z-2724
2:00 P.M.
Applicant: William L. Tedford
Location: 5000 Country Club Boulevard
Description: EZ of Lot 13 and all of Lot 14, Block 13,
Newton Addition
Present Classification: "A" One -family District
Variance: Requests a variance from the Setback (side and
rear yard) provisions of Section 43-12 of the
Code of Ordinances to permit addition to a
nonconforming residence (structure)
The Staff's recommendation was read as follows: "The Staff recommends approval
of requested variance. The proposed addition should not adversely affect
adjacent properties as it does not add to the nonconformity. The relationship
to adjacent properties is good, with considerable open space provided. It
appears that the development in this area, which occurred thirty to forty years
ago, was accomplished with setbacks of about 50 ft. This located most
structures nearer the rear lot line than normal."
