Other Action:
The Board considered a request from Mary Davies Scott to
extend the original variance approval granted in
Case Z-3365-A in August 1979. The applicant stated that the
variance had been granted and full intention of using it was
present at the time. However,'some difficulties had arisen
relative to an uncooperative contractor, and several other
delays. Because of these delays, temporary abandonment of
the project was required. She stated that they are now
ready to begin construction again and find that the variance
terms had expired and had been unaware that there was a set
expiration date on them. There was a brief discussion of
the various issues, and it was explained that some of the
ordinance requirements now are different than they were in
1979 because of the adoption of the new ordinance. The
Board moved to extend the variance and reconfirm the
original site plan for a period of 90 days. That motion was
passed - 4 ayes, 0 noes, 2 absent and 1 not voting.
In final action, the Board approved its 1982 calendar, and
the meeting was adjourned at 2:35 p.m.
