120721 RESOLUTION NO. 12,072 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH BELL CONSTRUCTION 5 CO., INC. TO RENOVATE THE 9 -1 -1 CENTER TO 6 ACCOMMODATE A 3 -1 -1 GENERAL TELEPHONE 7 INFORMATION SYSTEM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the 2004 Capital Improvement Bond issue approved by the voters of 10 the City of Little Rock provided funds for the implementation of a 3 -1 -1 General 11 Information Telephone System that will centralize access to City of Little Rock services 12 and divert non - emergency inquiries from the 9 -1 -1 System, and 13 WHEREAS, installation of the 3 -1 -1 General Information Telephone System 14 requires the renovation of the existing 9 -1 -1 Center to accommodate the expanded 15 services, and 16 WHEREAS, Invitation to Bid #5298 was issued for renovation of the 9 -1 -1 Center, 17 and Bell Construction Co., Inc., submitted the most responsive and responsible bid in 18 the amount of Seventy -six Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety -eight Dollars ($76,298.00). 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 22 into a contract with Bell Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of Seventy -six Thousand, 23 Two Hundred Ninety -eight and no /100 Dollars ($76,298.00), for the renovation of the 9- 24 1 -1 Center. 25 Section 2. This project will be funded from 2004 Bond Projects Fund. 26 Section 3. Severability. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
