3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH NORTH AMERICAN FIRE EQUIPMENT
5 COMPANY, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED
6 FIFTY THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED SEVEN AND 50/100 DOLLARS
7 ($250,407.50), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE
8 PURCHASE OF FIREFIGHTING PROTECTIVE COATS, PANTS AND
9 PARTICULATE BLOCKING HOODS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
10 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department is in need for Protective Coats, Pants and Blocking
13 Hoods; and,
14 WHEREAS,the specifications for this purchase were written and approved by the members serving
15 on the Little Rock Fire Department Safety Committee;and,
16 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the utilization of the Sourcewell Contract No.
17 032620-LI0 for the purchase of eighty (80) Protective Coats, at a cost of One Thousand, Five Hundred
18 Eleven Dollars ($1,511.00) each, eighty (80) Pants, at a cost of One Thousand, Fifty-Eight Dollars
19 ($1,058.00)each and 450 Particulate Blocking Hoods,at a cost of Ninety-Nine and 75/100 Dollars($99.75)
20 each;and,
21 WHEREAS, the total cost for the purchase is shall not exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand, Four
22 Hundred Seven and 50/100 Dollars($250,407.50), plus applicable taxes and fees.
23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
25 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with North American Fire
26 Equipment Company,Inc.,for the purchase of Firefighting Protective Coats,Pants and Particulate Blocking
27 Hoods for the Little Rock Fire Department in the amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand,Four
28 Hundred Seven and 50/100 Dollars($250,407.50),plus applicable taxes and fees.
29 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is available through the Department's General Fund and ACT
30 833 Special Project, Account No. 210519-S00B250.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
4 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
