Dear Brian,
Thank you so much for the chance to be involved in the ongoing process to put
together the River Mountain Neighborhood Action Plan. This has been a great
opportunity for the people of this city to have a real voice in the overall long-range
planning of where our community should be headed.
Please accept this letter as confirmation that our association is supportive of the broad
scope of the proposal. Our association consists of 1,000 lots and a formal vote on such a
large and complex proposal would not necessarily be feasible, but we have been
represented in the River Mountain Neighborhood Action process.
I have been at the meetings and Ken Grunewald of Pleasant Valley has also been on
the steering committee. We have both discussed the broad concept of the package with
Pleasant Valley Property Owners Association Board of Director members and members
of the neighborhood at large. We certainly would want to be involved in any future
specific discussions about any specific aspects of the proposal that affect our
neighborhood directly, but overall we are pleased right now.
In a wide range of areas we are working each day to see that Pleasant Valley remains
one of the most attractive and vibrant neighborhoods in the city. We are very pleased the
city is also working to maintain the quality of city life through realistic long range
planning. Please feel free to call Ken Grunewald or myself if we can be of any additional
assistance as the project moves ahead.
Sincerely,
Shannon Quinn

Dear Brian:
The draft proposal of the River Mountain Neighborhood Action Plan was presented to the
Association members present at our meeting August 12, 2002. The proposal was
accepted as is with a couple of minor exceptions.
Residents on Sierra Forest Drive expressed concern for traffic conditions on their street
and would like Sierra Forest Drive added to the streets listed in the Public Safety Goal for
increased police enforcement of speed limits on page 9 and to the streets listed in the
Traffic & Transportation Goal for traffic calming and/or reduced cut -through traffic on
page 11.
Thank you for your additional consideration of these requests.
Yours truly,
Craig Wi ms
