3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
4 EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO PURCHASE
5 FOURTEEN (14) PROPERTIES LOCATED ATIN THE JOHN BARROW
6 SUBDIVIONS FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED NINETY-FOUR
7 THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-TWO DOLLARS ($94,332.00),
8 UTILIZING HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FUNDS;
9 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the City receives Federal Funds from the HOME Investment Partnership (HOME)
12 Program that can be utilized for certain eligible properties; and,
13 WHEREAS, the City wishes to purchase fourteen (14) properties located in the John Barrow
14 Subdivision, Lots 1-12 located on 20 Street and Lots 5-6 located on Zion Street, for Ninety-Four
15 Thousand,Three Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars($94,332.00); and,
16 WHEREAS, once purchased by the City these properties shall be sold as affordable property to an
17 eligible purchase; and,
18 WHEREAS,at closing,the Pro-Rata Real Estate Taxes shall be paid; and,
19 WHEREAS,pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 14-54-302 (West Supp. 2019)a resolution is necessary to
20 accomplish such a transfer of municipal property.
21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute any necessary documents, in a form
24 acceptable to the City Attorney, to authorize the purchase of the property located at in the John Barrow
25 Subdivision, Lots 1-12 located on 29th Street and Lots 5-6 located on Zion Street, for Ninety-Four
26 Thousand, Three Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars($94,332.00).
27 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Account No. G58717 which contains monies
28 provided by the HOME Investment Partnership Program.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
