15556 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,556 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO EXTEND THE THIRD STREET TEMPORARY 4 ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT,FOR APPROXIMATELY THIRTEEN(13) 5 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS STARTING ON NOVEMBER 3, 2021, AND 6 ENDING ON JANUARY 31,2022; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, on July 23, 2019, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed 9 Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 21,761, as amended, which permitted the creation of a Temporary 10 Entertainment District pursuant to Arkansas State Law and City Ordinance; and, 11 WHEREAS,the City Board of Directors has determined the creation of a Temporary Entertainment 12 District as proposed by Ordinance No.21,761 as amended is appropriate as recommended by the Planning 13 & Development Department. 14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS. 16 Section 1. The Third Street Temporary Entertainment District is hereby created by the City of Little 17 Rock as a Temporary Entertainment District on Tuesday,November 2,2021,and subject to Ordinance No. 18 21,761 as amended and its defined terms. 19 Section 2. Boundaries. The Third Street Temporary Entertainment District boundaries are 20 particularly described as 2"d Street and River Market Avenue to Cumberland Street on the north to 4th Street 21 and River Market Avenue to Cumberland Street at the south. 22 Section 3. Timeframe. The Third Temporary Entertainment District shall be designated as a 23 Temporary Entertainment District upon the adoption of this resolution and shall expire after approximately 24 thirteen(13)consecutive weeks,starting on November 3,2021,and ending on January 31,2022. The hours 25 of operation for the Third Street Temporary Entertainment District are from 11:00 AM- 10:00 PM,Sunday 26 through Saturday. The City reserves the right to amend boundaries and hours of operation at its sole 27 discretion. 28 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 words of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 32 resolution. 33 Section 5.
