15522 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,522 2 3 A RESOLUTION SETTING SEPTEMBER 7, 2021, AS THE DATE OF 4 PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ISSUANCE OF A PORT 5 AUTHORITY REVENUE BOND IN THE MAXIMUM PRINCIPAL 6 AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION, THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND 7 DOLLARS ($1,300,000.00), FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING 8 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT THE INDUSTRIAL PARK AT THE 9 PORT OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (the "City"), owns a Municipal Port and related land 12 and facilities known as the Port of Little Rock (the "Port"), which is operated by the Little Rock Port 13 Authority(the "Authority")for and on behalf of the City; and, 14 WHEREAS, as part of the Port, the Authority operates the Little Rock Port Industrial Park (the 15 "Industrial Park");and, 16 WHEREAS, the Authority has determined that there is a need for the acquisition, construction and 17 equipping of capital improvements at the Industrial Park, including particularly, without limitation, 18 improvements to a warehouse known as the Little Rock Port Authority Foreign Trade Zone 14 (the 19 "Improvements"). 20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. A public hearing to consider the issuance of a Port Authority Revenue Bond(the "Bond") 23 in the maximum principal amount of One Million, Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,300,000.00) to 24 finance all or a portion of the costs of the Improvements shall be held by the Little Rock Board of Directors 25 on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter comes on the call of the 26 agenda, at The Centre at University Park, located at 6401 West 12t Street, Little Rock, Arkansas. All 27 interested persons shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposed issuance of the Bond. 28 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed 29 by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski 30 County,Arkansas,and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock,Arkansas. 31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 34 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the [Page 1 of 2] 1 resolution. 2 Section 4.
