15499 RESOLUTION NO. 15,499 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 4 A CONTRACT WITH NORTH AMERICA FIRE EQUIPMENT 5 COMPANY, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED 6 SIX THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED FOUR AND 30/100 DOLLARS 7 ($206,904.30), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE 8 PURCHASE OF FIREFIGHTING PROTECTIVE COATS AND PANTS 9 FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 10 PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Fire Department is in need for Protective Coats and Pants;and, 13 WHEREAS,the specifications for this purchase were written and approved by the members serving 14 on the Little Rock Fire Department Safety Committee; and, 15 WHEREAS, Vendor selection was made through the utilization of the Sourcewell Contract No. 16 032620-LI0 for the purchase of Protective Coats at a cost of One Thousand, Two Hundred Seventy-Six 17 and 94/100 Dollars($1,276.94)and Pants at a cost of Nine Hundred One Dollars($901.00); and, 18 WHEREAS, the total cost for the purchase is shall not exceed Two Hundred Six Thousand, Nine 19 Hundred Four and 30/100 Dollars($206,904.30), plus applicable taxes and fees. 20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with North America Fire Equipment 23 Company, Inc. for the purchase of Firefighting Protective Coats and Pants for the Little Rock Fire 24 Department in the amount not to exceed Two Hundred Six Thousand, Nine Hundred Four and 30/100 25 Dollars($206,904.30), plus applicable taxes and fees. 26 Section 2. Funding for this purchase is through the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax,Activity 27 No. S51C302. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution. 33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 34 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
