PULA KI CO,AR FEE$20.00 ab ce 2 ��'411110004:e� �I111111111M 3 AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON THAT PORTION OF THE WEST 11TH 4 STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, LOCATED BETWEEN SOUTH MONROE 5 STREET AND JONESBORO DRIVE, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, 6 ARKANSAS (G-23-478); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, proposes to abandon the fifty (50)-foot wide West 9 11`h Street right-of-way, located between South Monroe Street and Jonesboro Drive; and, 10 WHEREAS,the abandonment is proposed to incorporate the right-of-way area into the properties to 11 the north and south, for a future development by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences 12 (UAMS);and, 13 WHEREAS, the West 11th Street right-of-way to be abandoned is approximately 225 feet in length 14 with a one (1)-lane paved roadway within the fifty (50)-foot right-of-way area, which is approximately 15 twelve(12)to fourteen(14)feet wide; and, 16 WHEREAS, the adjacent properties north and south of the West 11th Street right-of-way are 17 currently undeveloped; and, 18 WHEREAS, all of the public utility companies have reviewed and approved the requested right-of- 19 way abandonment;and, 20 WHEREAS, the Engineering Division has reviewed and approved the requested right-of-way 21 abandonment; and, 22 WHEREAS,there are no Master Street Plan issues associated with this abandonment request, as the 23 right-of-way is not classified as a collector street or higher;and, 24 WHEREAS, abandoning this portion of right-of-way will have no adverse impact on the public 25 welfare and safety. 26 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 27 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 28 Section 1. The City of Little Rock, hereby releases, vacates, and abandons the fifty (50)-foot wide 29 West 11th Street right-of-way, located between South Monroe Street and Jonesboro Drive, which is 30 approximately 225 feet in length with a one (1)-lane paved roadway within the fifty (50)-foot right-of- 31 way area,which is approximately twelve(12)to fourteen(14)feet wide.The abandonment is proposed to 32 incorporate the right-of-way area into the properties to the north and south, for a future development by 33 UAMS. The adjacent properties north and south of the West 11th Street right-of-way are currently [Page 1 of 2] 1 undeveloped. 2 Section 2. A copy of this ordnance duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the Real Estate 3 Records of the Recorder of the Circuit Clerk in Ex-Officio Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas. 4 Section 3. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph, 5 item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 6 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining provisions of this 7 ordinance, as if such invalid or unconstitutional provision was not originally a part of this ordinance. 8 Section 4. Repealer.
