3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH JACKSON BROWN PALCULICT
5 ARCHITECTS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-FOUR
6 THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS ($74,420.00), TO
7 PROVIDE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE
8 ADDITION AND RENOVATIONS TO FIRE STATION NO. 12; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,Fire Station No. 12 is in need of an addition and renovations in order to make the living
12 area of the station more user-friendly and to improve the work environment by expanding the day room
13 and weight room; and,
14 WHEREAS, these renovations will also allow for female personnel to be assigned to the station by
15 having a designated female quarter; and,
16 WHEREAS, on December 11, 2020, the City issued Request for Statements of Qualifications
17 (RFQ)for Architectural Design Services, Process No. 1062, which created a qualified vendor list of firms
18 capable of providing Architectural Design Services for the City of Little Rock,Arkansas;and,
19 WHEREAS, pursuant to this process, a Selection Committee determined that Jackson Brown
20 Palculict Architects was the most qualified firm on the vendor list to provide Architectural Design
21 Services to the City for the addition and renovations to Fire Station No. 12; and,
22 WHEREAS,after the selection of this firm,the City has been able to negotiate an acceptable contract
23 to provide these services as required by Arkansas State Statute.
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
25 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Jackson Brown Palculict
27 Architects in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Four Thousand, Four Hundred Twenty Dollars
28 ($74,420.00) to provide Architectural Design Services to the City of Little Rock for the addition and
29 renovations to Fire Station No. 12, located at 7003 Cantrell Road in Little Rock,Arkansas.
30 Section 2. Funds for this agreement will come from a short-term note,Activity No. F449004.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
4 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
