3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH L&M OFFICE FURNITURE, A STATE
5 CONTRACT VENDOR, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED
6 SIXTY-NINE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED FIVE AND 88/100
7 DOLLARS ($569,305.88), FOR THE PURCHASE OF OFFICE
8 FURNITURE FOR THE NEW LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARMTENT
9 HEADQUARTERS, LOCATED AT 615 WEST MARKHAM STREET;
10 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the architectural firm of Wittenberg, Delony & Davidson, has contacted with L&M
13 Office Furniture, a State Contract Office Furniture Vendor, to supply a design diagram and cost
14 projections for specific pieces of furniture for the new Little Rock Police Department Headquarters
15 Building, located at 615 West Markham Street; and,
16 WHEREAS, this design and cost projection was made in conjunction with the architects for this
17 project and members of the Department who will occupy the Headquarters; and,
18 WHEREAS, L&M Office Furniture has submitted a proposal to provide a design diagram and cost
19 projections for specific pieces of furniture for the new Little Rock Police Department Headquarters
20 Building, located at 615 West Markham Street, in the amount of Five Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand,
21 Three Hundred Five and 88/100 Dollars($569,305.88),which includes shipping, installation and taxes.
22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
24 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
25 L&M Office Furniture to supply a design diagram and cost projections for specific items of furniture for
26 the new Little Rock Police Department Headquarters Building, located at 615 West Markham Street, in
27 the amount of Five Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Five and 88/100 Dollars
28 ($569,305.88),which includes shipping, installation and taxes.
29 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
30 Compensating Use Tax Funds, and is available from Account No. 326529-TS52A28.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
4 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
