3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH HARRIS CONSTRUCTION
5 MANAGEMENT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE
6 HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED TWENTY
7 DOLLARS ($364,320.00), FOR SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION WITHIN
8 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, sidewalk improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to
12 maintain existing sidewalks; and,
13 WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a sales tax which provided funding for
14 these sidewalk improvements;and,
15 WHEREAS, Harris Construction Management submitted the lowest bid, Bid No. 1103, meeting
16 specifications for the 2021 Sidewalk Replacement Program.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Harris Construction
20 Management ,in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Sixty-Four Thousand, Three Hundred Twenty
21 Dollars($364,320.00), or Three Hundred Three Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars ($303,600.00), plus 20%
22 contingency.
23 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
24 Compensating Use Tax Funds and available in Account No. TS40A08.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
