15372 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,372 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, 5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE MILLION, FIFTY- 6 EIGHT THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED THIRTY-NINE AND 64/100 7 DOLLARS ($3,058,639.64), FOR THE FOURCHE DAM PIKE ECONOMIC 8 DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION WIDENING PROJECT; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the Fourche Dam Pike Widening, near Interstate 440 to south of 12 Sloan Drive and Frasier Pike, Economic Development Administration Project, 08-79-0377, Bid No. 1080; 13 and, 14 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting 15 specifications. 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone Construction 19 Group, Inc., for the Fourche Dam Pike Economic Development Administration Widening Project, in an 20 amount not to exceed Three Million, Fifty-Eight Thousand, Six Hundred Thirty-Nine and 64/100 Dollars 21 ($3,058,639.64),which is the base bid amount of Two Million, Five Hundred Forty-Eight Thousand, Eight 22 Hundred Sixty-Six and 37/100 Dollars($2,548,866.37), plus 20% contingencies. 23 Section 2. Funding for this project is a grant from the Economic Development Administration and 24 local match funds from a partnership with Pulaski County and the Job Recruitment/Economic Development 25 set-aside in the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating Use Tax. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
