117481 2 RESOLUTION NO. 11,748 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH IK ELECTRIC FOR 5 PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A NEIGHBORHOOD 6 CAMERA SYSTEM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the voters of Little Rock approved a Seventy Million, Six Hundred 9 Thirty -five Thousand Dollar ($70,635,000) Limited Obligation Capital Improvement 10 Bond Issue (Series 2004) at an election held on November 4, 2003, and 11 WHEREAS, the ballot listed projects to be funded with proceeds of the bonds to 12 be issued included acquisition of specialized video cameras for strategic used in areas of 13 the City for crime deterrence, and 14 WHEREAS, an Request for Proposal was issued on April 12, 2004, and IK 15 Electric submitted the sole bid in. the amount of Ninety -one Thousand, Six Hundred 16 Ninety -Seven Dollars ($91,697.00); 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 20 into a contract with IK Electric for purchase and installation of a Neighborhood Camera 21 System for the amount of Ninety -one Thousand, Six Hundred Ninety -Seven Dollars 22 ($91,697.00). 23 Section 2. Funds for this project are to be allocated from the $70,635,000 Limited 24 Obligation Capital Improvement Bond Issue (Series 2004). 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or [PAGE 1 OF 21 Resolution To authorize contract For Neighborhood Camera System 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
