3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE THOUSAND
5 (1,000) 90- GALLON SOLID WASTE CONTAINERS AND ISSUE A
6 ONE -YEAR ANNUAL PURCHASE ORDER FOR ADDITIONAL
7 CARTS NEEDED.; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, Solid Waste Division must periodically purchase new solid waste
10 containers for delivery to new customers, replace stolen carts, replace damaged carts,
11 and meet the demand for additional carts, and
12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #5222 for the
13 purchase of the containers, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
14 minimum specifications was received from Ameri -Kart, Inc., in the amount of Thirty-
15 nine Thousand, Six Hundred Thirty Dollars ($39,630.00).
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
17 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
19 into a contract for the purchase of one thousand (1,000) 90- gallon Solid Waste
20 Containers from Ameri -Kart, Inc., for the amount of Thirty -nine Thousand, Six
21 Hundred Thirty Dollars ($39,630.00), and to issue a 1 -year annual purchase order for
22 additional carts as needed.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #603 -220-
24 2110 -2160.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or

I unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
2 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
3 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
4 resolution.
5 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
6 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
7 of such inconsistency.
