3 A RESOLUTION TO SET AUGUST 16, 2005, AS THE DATE OF
4 HEARING ON THE PETITION TO ABANDON A PORTION OF
5 WEST 19TH STREET, WEST 20TH STREET, VOLGER STREET AND A
6 12 -FOOT ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK 7 OF THE BLANKENSHIP'S
7 ADDITION, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AS PUBLIC RIGHTS -
8 OF -WAY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the
11 Board of Directors vacate and abandon a portion of 1911 Street, 201h Street, Volger Street
12 and a 12 -foot alley located in Block of the Blankenship's Addition as public rights -of-
13 way, pursuant to its general police power authority under Ark. Code Ann. §14 -54 -104,
14 in the City of Little Rock.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above - mentioned
18 rights -of -way shall be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little
19 Rock in the Board Room of City Hall at six o'clock on the 161h day of August, 2005.
20 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in
21 the manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in
22 a newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation
23 in the City of Little Rock.
