2 A RESOLUTION TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT TERMS OF FOUR
3 COMMUNITY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATIONS FOR
4 OPERATING SUPPORT FOR ONE YEAR IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
5 EXCEED THE TOTAL OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS
6 ($100,000); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
7 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention,
8 intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety
9 and community - building; and
10 WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals, Bid No. 5276, for operating
11 support services for 2005; and
12 WHEREAS, four proposals were selected for contracts not to exceed $25,000
13 each; and
14 WHEREAS, the RFP authorized two one year extensions contingent upon
15 satisfactory contract performance and appropriation by the Board of Directors; and
16 WHEREAS, the four contractors have successfully performed and the 2006 City
17 Budget contains a line item in the Future Little Rock 2006 Adopted Budget of $100,000
18 for community development to fund the second year of these contracts.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the contracts with Black
22 Community Developers, Inc., Central Little Rock CDC, Inc., College Station CDC, Inc.,
23 and Central Little Rock CDC, in an amount not to exceed $25,000 each($100,000 total ),
24 such monies having been appropriated in the Future Little Rock 2006 budget,
25 Community Development line item.

Section 2. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or
adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not
affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of this resolution.
Section 3. Repealer. All resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with
any provision of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
