3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP,
5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED FIVE
6 THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE AND 48/100 DOLLARS
7 ($405,2.55.48), FOR THE KATILLUS ROAD AND FOREST LANE
8 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for improvements to Katillus Road and Forest Lane, Project No. 05-
11 17-ST-223B,Bid No. 992; and,
12 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone Construction
17 Group, Inc., for the Katillus Road and Forest Lane Improvement Project in an amount not to exceed Four
18 Hundred Five Thousand,Two Hundred Fifty-Five and 48/100 Dollars($405,255.48),which is the base bid
19 amount of Three Hundred Thirty-Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred Twelve and 90/100 Dollars
20 ($337,712.90),plus 20%contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/B-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds and the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by
23 Resolution No. 14,803.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
