3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH JONES HARLEY DAVIDSON FOR THE
5 PURCHASE OF THREE (3) HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLES
6 FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
7 PURPOSES.
9 WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of three (3) Harley Davidson
10 motorcycles, and
11 WHEREAS, these motorcycles will replace three (3) 2001 motorcycles with high
12 mileage and excessive maintenance expenses, and
13 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #6231 for the
14 purchase of the motorcycles, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting
15 minimum specifications was received from Jones Harley Davidson in the amount of
16 Fifty -three Thousand, Six Hundred Eighty -five and no /100 Dollars ($53,685.00).
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
20 into a contract for the purchase of three (3) Harley Davidson motorcyles, for the amount
21 of Fifty -three Thousand, Six Hundred Eighty -five and no /100 Dollars ($53,685.00).
22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the 2006 Police
23 Department Short Term Financing Account.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
