AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
PROVIDING FOR A DEFERRAL OF MASTER STREET PLAN
CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPOSED
WELLINGTON HILLS ROAD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK,ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances be amended to provide for a
deferral of certain requirements within the Master Street Plan until the adjacent property
across proposed Wellington Hills Road is developed for National Home Center at 15707
Chenal Parkway.
Subsection a. Chapter 30 Article VI requiring developers to construct roadway
improvements to the requirements of the Master Street Plan will be deferred for a
period of five (5) years or until adjacent development across Wellington Hills
Road occurs whichever occurs first. The specific deferral is for improving the
proposed Wellington Hills Road south of Chenal Parkway to Kanis Road to minor
arterial standards including widening, curb, gutter, sidewalk, access ramps, and
street lights. Also, the intersections of proposed Wellington Hills Road with
Chenal Parkway and Kanis Road will be widened and striped to Master Street
Plan standards for arterial intersections.
Subsection b. On proposed Wellington Hills Road, 30 foot radial dedications at
the Chenal Parkway and Kanis Road intersections will be required with
construction plan approval. On Chenal Parkway, installation of sidewalk; access
ramps; curb; gutter; and widening with a right turn lane will be required with
construction plan approval. Also with construction plan approval, a dedication of
45 feet from centerline; installation of sidewalk; access ramps; curb; gutter; and
widening will be required on Kanis Road.
SECTION 2. This ORDINANCE shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after its
passage.
