15309 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,309 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH IMPACT MANAGEMENT GROUP AND 5 MITCHELL, WILLIAMS, SELIG, GATES & WOODYARD, PLLC, TO 6 PROVIDE GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS AND CONSULTING SERVICES; 7 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock,Arkansas, solicited qualifications to hire a firm or firms engaged 10 in a joint venture for Governmental Affairs and Consulting Services;and, 1 1 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock chose the joint venture by Impact Management Group and 12 Mitchell,Williams, Selig,Gates&Woodyard, PLLC,after reviewing submitted proposals;and, 13 WHEREAS,Professional Services of this nature are crucial to ensure the City is well represented with 14 the Arkansas General Assembly on any issues that may arise ranging from appropriations to programs and 15 other legislative mandates. 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1.The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Impact Management 19 and Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard to provide Governmental Affairs and Consulting 20 Services. 21 Section 2.The City of Little Rock will pay up to Fifty Thousand Dollars($50,000.00)for the services 22 to be provided from December 2020,through December 2021.The contract may be extended up to two(2), 23 twelve (12)-month periods upon mutual consent of all parties at a maximum of Fifty Thousand Dollars 24 ($50,000.00)per year. 25 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word 26 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication 27 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 28 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. 29 Section 4.Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 31 ADOPTED: October 6,2020 32 Ii6APPROVED: 33 34 Vim a,►_ "�^^ 35 usa 1 : Ile ity Clerk Frank Scott,Jr., yor [Page 1 of 21 1 APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM: 2 ' 3 4 Thomas M.
