3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH MID-SOUTH SALES, IN AN
5 ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE MILLION, TWO
6 HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($3,200,000.00), FOR FUEL AND
7 GASOLINE FOR THE FLEET SERVICES DEPARTMENT; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Fleet Services Department has a need to provide Fuel and Gasoline for use in various
11 vehicles currently in the City's fleet; and,
12 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock, Arkansas held a Public Bid No. 851 to obtain competitive bids
13 from qualified vendors for Fuel and Gasoline;and,
14 WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process with four (4) bids received, it was determined that
15 Mid-South Sales was the lowest bidder for an annual contract awarded for a one(1)-year contract term and
16 two(2),one(1)-year renewals for an annual amount not to exceed Three Million,Two Hundred Thousand
17 Dollars($3,200,000.00).
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an annual one(1)-year contract(APO)with
21 Mid-South Sales, for not more than two(2),one(1)-year renewal extensions for an annual budget amount
22 not to exceed Three Million,Two Hundred Thousand Dollars($3,200,000.00).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated separately:Two Million,Two Hundred Thousand
24 Dollars ($2,200,000.00) in the Fleet Services Fuel Account No. 600011-60401; and One Million Dollars
25 ($1,000,000.00)from the Public Works Landfill Account No. 603110-60401.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
