15296 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,296 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, 5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY- 6 EIGHT THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED NINE AND 16/100 DOLLARS 7 ($728,909.16), FOR THE MIDTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION 8 STREETS PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for the Midtown Neighborhood Streets Improvement Project along 11 Abigail Street,from 26th Street to 27th Street,and along 27th Street,from Abigail Street to Elm Street,Project 12 No. 01-17-ST-47,Bid No. 973;and, 13 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting 14 specifications. 15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone Construction 18 Group,Inc.,for the Midtown Neighborhood Streets Improvement Project in an amount not to exceed Seven 19 Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand,Nine Hundred Nine and 16/100 Dollars($728,909.16),which is the base 20 bid amount of Six Hundred Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Twenty-Four and 30/100 Dollars, 21 ($607,424.30),plus 20%contingencies. 22 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating 23 Use Tax Funds and the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by 24 Resolution No. 14,803. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
