120431 4 RESOLUTION NO. 12,043 3 A RESOLUTION TO SET AUGUST 1, 2005, AS THE DATE OF 4 HEARING ON THE PETITION TO ABANDON PORTIONS OF 5 GRANT STREET AND "G" STREET RIGHT -OF -WAY LOCATED 6 ADJACENT TO BLOCK 9 AND THE WEST HALF OF BLOCK 10, 7 LINCOLN PARK ADDITION, NORTH OF "F" STREET AND WEST 8 OF UNIVERSITY AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AS A 9 PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the 12 Board of Directors vacate and abandon, pursuant to its general police power authority 13 under Ark. Code Ann. §14 -54 -104, the one (1) block portion of the 46 foot wide Grant 14 Street right -of -way North of "G" Street (between Blocks 9 and 10 Lincoln Park 15 Addition), and the one (1) block portion of the 25 foot wide "G" Street right -of -way East 16 of University Avenue (adjacent to and immediately North of Block 9 and the West one- 17 half of Block 10, Lincoln Park Addition, in the City of Little Rock. 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above - mentioned 21 right -of -way shall be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little 22 Rock in the Board Room of City Hall at six o'clock on the 1st day of August, 2005. 23 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in 24 the manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in 25 a newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation 26 in the City of Little Rock.
