15281 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,281 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MCCLELLAND CONSULTING 5 ENGINEERS, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED 6 FIFTY THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX DOLLARS 7 ($150,866.00), FOR DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES OF THE 8 WESTERN HILLS MASTER PLAN; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, an Outdoor Legacy Grant was received in an amount of Six Hundred Twenty-One 11 Thousand, Six Hundred Fourteen Dollars ($621,614.00) with a required City match of Seven Hundred 12 Thousand Dollars($700,000.00)for a total project budget of One Million,Four Hundred Thousand Dollars 13 ($1,400,000.00)for Western Hills Park; and, 14 WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Department requests a contract with McClelland Consulting 15 Engineers, Inc.,to provide Design and Engineering Services for the Western Hills Master Plan to provide 16 park improvements;and, 17 WHEREAS, a Selection Review Committee selected and recommends McClelland Consulting 18 Engineers from the City's Request for Statement of Qualifications,No. 753;and, 19 WHEREAS,the total cost of the project will not exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand,Eight Hundred 20 Sixty-Six Dollars($150,866.00);and, 21 WHEREAS,funding is available from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax funds for Western 22 Hills Park Improvements, Account No. 326459-TS45A20 and the Legacy Grant Account No. 270459- 23 G23147. 24 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with McClelland Consulting 27 Engineers,Inc. in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand,Eight Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars 28 ($150,866.00),to provide Design and Engineering Services of the Western Hills Master Plan. 29 Section 2. The Project will be funded from the from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax 30 funds for Western Hills Park Improvements,Account No.326459-TS45A20 and the Legacy Grant Account 31 No. 270459-G23147. 32 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 34 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 35 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the [Page 1 of 2] 1 resolution. 2 Section 4. Repealer.
