3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDSCAPE STRUCTURES, FOR A TOTAL
5 CONTRACT AMOUNT OF SEVENTY-ONE THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED
6 FORTY-THREE AND 78/100 DOLLARS ($71,643.78), TO INSTALL
7 SYNTHETIC TURF FOR THE DUNBAR COMMUNITY CENTER
8 PLAYGROUND; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Parks&Recreation Department requests a contract with Landscape Structures for the
11 installation of Synthetic Turf Surfacing for the Dunbar Community Center Playground;and,
12 WHEREAS, the Turf Surface Project will replace existing loose rubber mulch to provide ADA
13 accessibility and greatly improve the Fall Impact Safety GMAX Rating, both of which are required by the
14 Arkansas Department of Health for a Youth Care Facility; and,
15 WHEREAS,the project will not exceed Seventy-One Thousand,Six Hundred Forty-Three and 78/100
16 Dollars($71,643.78)and will be funded from two(2)accounts: Forty Thousand Dollars($40,000.00)from
17 Account No. 104532-72799; and Thirty-One Thousand, Six Hundred Forty-Three and 78/100 Dollars
18 ($31,643.78)from Account No. 326459-TS45A11; and,
19 WHEREAS, the Synthetic Turf Surfacing Project installation was quoted with Sourcewell State
20 Contract Agreement No. 030117-LSI.
21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Landscape Structures for
24 the installation of Synthetic Turf Surfacing for the Dunbar Community Center Playground for a cost not to
25 exceed Seventy-One Thousand, Six Hundred Forty-Three and 78/100 Dollars($71,643.78).
26 Section 2. Funding for the turf surfacing are available, Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) from
27 Account No. 104532-72799; and Thirty-One Thousand, Six Hundred Forty-Three and 78/100 Dollars
28 ($31,643.78)from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax Funds, Account No. 326459-TS45A11.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
