3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT LISA C. JONES AS A NEW
4 COMMISSIONER TO THE BOARD OF IMPROVEMENT FOR THE
5 TWIN LAKES RECREATION IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE
6 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS,the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,Arkansas, established the Twin Lakes
9 Recreation Improvement District No. 1 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (the "District") pursuant to
10 Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 13,086 (September 2, 1975), which was later amended by Little Rock,
11 Ark.,Ordinance No. 17,025 (November 21, 1995); and,
12 WHEREAS,Dee Arthur Jordan, a member of the Board of Improvement, appointed by the City via
13 Resolution No. 14,176(August 18,2015),has resigned from the Board of Improvement; and,
14 WHEREAS,the remaining Commissioners of the District have requested the City to appoint Lisa C.
15 Jones as a new Commissioner as a replacement,and this Ms.Jones is a qualified elector of the City of Little
16 Rock.
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors appoints Lisa C. Jones, a duly qualified elector of the City and a
20 property owner within the District,a Commissioner of the District who shall be a member of the Board of
21 Improvement of the District from and after the date of this resolution.
22 Section 2. That such Commissioner shall qualify by taking the oath of office prescribed by Arkansas
23 State Law,and shall enter upon and conduct his duties all as prescribed by applicable law.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
