15267 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,267 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN 5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY-ONE 6 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED NINETY-EIGHT AND 56/100 DOLLARS 7 ($741,598.56), FOR THE VALENTINE STREET RECONSTRUCTION 8 PROJECT, FROM 8TH TO 12TH STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS,Bids were solicited for the for the Valentine Street Reconstruction Project,from 8th Street 11 to 12th Street,Project No. 01-17-ST-57,Bid No. 921;and, 12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting 13 specifications. 14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter 17 Technologies, Inc., for the Valentine Street Reconstruction Project, from 8th Street to 12t Street, in an 18 amount not to exceed Seven Hundred Forty-One Thousand,Five Hundred Ninety Eight and 56/100 Dollars 19 ($741,598.56),which is the base bid amount of Six Hundred Seventeen Thousand,Nine Hundred Ninety- 20 Eight and 80/100 Dollars($617,998.80),plus 20%contingencies. 21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating 22 Use Tax Funds and the Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by 23 Resolution No. 14,803. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer.
