21892 1 ORDINANCE NO. 21,892 2 3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND PORTIONS OF PROVISIONS OF LITTLE 4 ROCK, ARK., REV. CODE CHAPTER 28, ARTICLE 1, § 28-28 (1988), AS 5 TO THE COLLECTION OF FEES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS,a Contract Extension for collection and processing of a Curbside Recycling Program has 8 been approved;and, 9 WHEREAS,certain provisions of Chapter 28 of the Little Rock, Ark., Revised Code of Ordinances 10 are required to implement these modifications. 11 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 12 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 13 Section 1. Section 28-28 of the Little Rock,Ark., Revised Code of Ordinances(1988)is amended to 14 read as follows: 15 (a) Each dwelling unit will be charged without exception the sum of Twenty-Nine and 68/100 16 Dollars($29.689)per month. Each billing unit will be provided a single City-Owned Solid 17 Waste Container(Supercart). Fees shall be collected monthly and may be billed on the state- 18 ment for water for said premises, or some other similar system approved by the City Man- 19 ager, and shall be the debt and obligation of the person, firm or corporation in whose name 20 the water meter is listed or the dwellings unit's responsible party. 21 (c) Additional Containers. 22 (2) Recycling Containers. Individual dwelling units may request additional Recycling 23 Containers. Any additional Recycling Containers will be billed at the rate of Three 24 and 11/100 Dollars($3.11)per month,per container and will be billed for a minimum 25 of three(3)months. 26 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 30 ordinance. 31 Section 3. Repealer.
