3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A
4 PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT TO
5 CRAFTON, TULL & ASSOCIATES, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
6 EXCEED SEVENTY-TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS($72,000.00),FOR THE
7 DESIGN OF INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS ON FOURCHE DAM
8 PIKE AT INTERSTATE 440 AND THE RAILROAD CROSSING;AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, it is desirable to improve Fourche Dam Pike at Interstate 440 interchange north of the
12 railroad tracks including railroad crossing and signal improvements as a part of the overall plan to improve
13 traffic flow and encourage economic development in the Little Rock River Port area;and,
14 WHEREAS,the Engineering Consultant for professional services were selected pursuant to an annual
15 statements of qualifications process, Bid No. 754, to provide Engineering Services for surveying, design
16 and on call construction assistance for the projects described herein.
17 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
18 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Crafton Tull &
20 Associates,Inc., in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Two Thousand Dollars($72,000.00),for the Fourche
21 Dam Pike at Interstate 440 Interchange Improvements.
22 Section 2. Funding for the project is from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission with
23 local match funds from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating Use Tax Funds and the
24 Capital Improvement Bonds.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
