3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH D&J RED IRON AND AGGREGATES, LTD.,
5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FOURTEEN
6 THOUSAND,EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTEEN DOLLARS($114,816.00), FOR
7 THE PECAN LAKE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for the second phase of Pecan Lake Drainage Improvements, Project
11 No. 07-17-ST-276,Bid No. 900; and,
12 WHEREAS,D&J Red Iron and Aggregates,Ltd.,was the lowest responsive,responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with D&J Red Iron and
17 Aggregates, Ltd., for the Pecan Lake Drainage Improvement Project, in an amount not to exceed One
18 Hundred Fourteen Thousand,Eight Hundred Sixteen Dollars($114,816.00),which is the base bid amount
19 of Ninety-Five Thousand, Six Hundred Eighty Dollars($95,680.00),plus 20%contingencies.
20 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
21 Use Tax Funds and the Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,803.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
