3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CISNEROS FAMILY CONSTRUCTION
5 GROUP,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND,
6 SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTEEN AND 60/00 DOLLARS ($57,717.60),FOR
7 THE CLAYBROOK ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT;
8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS,bids were solicited for the Claybrook Road Drainage Improvements. Project No. 07-16-
11 DR-274,Bid No. 561; and,
12 WHEREAS,Cisneros Family Construction Group,was the second lowest responsive,responsible bid
13 meeting specifications after the original low bidder ceased operations and was unable to fulfill the contract
14 requirements.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Cisneros Family
18 Construction Group, for the Claybrook Road Drainage Improvement Project, in an amount not to exceed
19 Fifty-Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventeen and 60/100 Dollars($57,717.60), which is the base bid
20 amount of Forty-Eight Thousand,Ninety-Eight Dollars($49,098.00),plus 20%contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds and the Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,803.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
