3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH QUALITY SECURITY
5 SERVICES, INC., TO PROVIDE SECURITY GUARD SERVICES AT
6 VARIOUS CITY FACILITIES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid No. 887, Quality Security Services, Inc., submitted the most
9 responsible and responsive bid for an annual contract to provide Security Guard Services at various City
10 facilities, at an estimated annual cost of Two Hundred Seventy-One Thousand Dollars ($271,000.00);
11 and,
12 WHEREAS, the initial term of the contract will be one (1)-year and may be extended for two (2)
13 additional one(1)-year periods, if approved by the City Manager;
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an annual
17 contract with Quality Security Services, Inc.,to provide Security Guard Services at various City facilities,
18 at an annual cost of Two Hundred Seventy-One Thousand Dollars ($271,000.00), with possible renewals
19 of two(2)additional one(1)-year periods, if approved by the City Manager.
20 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from various departmental budgets.
21 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
22 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
23 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
24 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
25 resolution.
26 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
27 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
