3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH SOUTHERN TIRE MART, LLC, IN AN
5 ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND,EIGHT
6 HUNDRED DOLLARS ($52,800.00), FOR TIRE RETREAD SERVICES
7 FOR THE FLEET SERVICES DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Fleet Services Department has a need to be equipped with options for Performance
11 Replacement Tires for vehicles currently in the City's fleet; and,
12 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, held a Public Bid No. 847 to obtain competitive bids
13 from qualified tire vendors for retread services;and,
14 WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process with two (2) bids received, it was determined that
15 Southern Tire Mart, LLC,was the lowest bidder for an annual contract awarded for a one(1)-year contract
16 term and two (2), one (1)-year renewals for an annual amount not to exceed Fifty-Two Thousand, Eight
17 Hundred Dollars($52,800.00).
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
19 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an annual one (1)-year contract(APO)with
21 not more than two (2), one(1)-year renewal extensions for an annual budget amount not to exceed Fifty-
22 Two Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars($52,800.00)with Southern Tire Mart,LLC.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Fleet Tire Account No. 600013-60320.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
