3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH J&R EQUIPMENT, LLC, IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND, TEN
6 DOLLARS ($159,010.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN ASPHALT
7 PATCHING TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
8 STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the Public Works Department Street Operations Division has demonstrated a need for
11 an Asphalt Patching Truck to replace an aged,high maintenance unit currently in the City's fleet;and,
12 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made through the utilization of Sourcewell Contract No. 052417-
13 PBL;and,
14 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase of the Asphalt Patching Truck is One Hundred Fifty-Nine
15 Thousand,Ten Dollars($159,010.00).
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager are authorized to enter into an agreement with J&R Equipment, LLC,
19 for the purchase of an Asphalt Patching Truck in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty-Nine
20 Thousand, Ten Dollars ($159,010.00), to be used by the Public Works Department Street Operations
21 Division.
22 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are allocated in the 2020 Public Works Replacement Fund
23 Account No. 205409-72300-S40B632.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
