15234 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,234 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH WATCHGUARD VIDEO, INC., FOR THE 5 TOTAL AMOUNT OF SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND, 6 NINE HUNDRED NINETY-NINE AND 23/100 DOLLARS ($759,999.23), 7 FOR THE PURCHASE OF BODY WORN CAMERAS FOR THE LITTLE 8 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock,Arkansas,was awarded a Federal Body Worn Camera Policy and 11 Implementation Grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance for the purpose of purchasing Body Worn 12 Cameras and the necessary hardware, software and technical services to support the implementation and 13 use of the Body Worn Cameras for the Little Rock Police Department; and, 14 WHEREAS,the grant requires matching funds from the City;and, 15 WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process, Bid No. 521, it was determined that WatchGuard 16 Video, Inc.,was the most responsive and offered the best value of the four(4)proposals received; and, 17 WHEREAS,the total cost of the purchase shall be Seven Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand,Nine Hundred 18 Ninety-Nine and 23/100 Dollars($759,999.23); and, 19 WHEREAS, the Federal Body Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Grant is in the amount of 20 One Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand Dollars ($194,000.00) with matching funds in the amount of Five 21 Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety-Nine and 23/100 Dollars ($565,999.23), to be 22 provided by the Special Project Body Camera Match Fund, Grant Activity G35170 and Grant Match of 23 S52G033. 24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 25 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with WatchGuard Video, Inc., 27 in the amount of Seven Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety-Nine and 23/100 Dollars 28 ($759,999.23), for the purpose of purchasing Body Worn Cameras and the necessary hardware, software 29 and technical services to support the implementation and use of the Body Worn Cameras for the Little Rock 30 Police Department; 31 Section 2. The purchase will be funded from the Body Worn Camera Policy and Implementation 32 Grant in the amount of One Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand Dollars ($194,000.00), with matching funds 33 in the amount of Five Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety-Nine and 23/100 Dollars 34 ($565,999.23),to be provided by the Special Project Body Camera Match Fund,Account No. 108529. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 5 resolution. 6 Section 4. Repealer.
