3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH J.A. RIGGS CATERPILLAR, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED NINETY-NINE
6 THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($199,975.00),
7 FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE(1)CATERPILLAR D6 DOZER FOR THE
8 PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT SOLID WASTE DIVISION AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the Public Works Department Solid Waste Division has demonstrated a need for one(1)
12 Caterpillar D6 Dozer to replace an aged, high maintenance unit currently in the City's fleet; and,
13 WHEREAS,vendor selection was made through the utilization of Sourcewell, Contract No. 032119-
14 CAT;and,
15 WHEREAS,the total cost for the purchase of one (1)Caterpillar D6 Dozer is One Hundred Ninety-
16 Nine Thousand,Nine Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars($199,975.00);
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The City Manager are authorized to enter into an agreement with J.A. Riggs Caterpillar, in
20 an amount not to exceed One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars
21 ($199,975.00),for the purchase of one(1)Caterpillar D6 Dozer to be used by the Public Works Department
22 Solid Waste Division.
23 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in the 2020 Public Works Replacement Account
24 No. 603120-72200.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
